Panthers go Witch Hunting

The Franklin panthers walked over the Salem Witches on Tuesday May, 29th in their first MIAA tournament game.

Your Franklin Panthers were lead by Senior attack Ross Tanner, who had five goals and an assist. Mike Patjane and Jake Versprille also added to the teams victory with four goals combined. Senior Ryan Garland was also unstoppable at the face off X. The panthers started off to a slow start but got their game together shortly with a half time speech from head coach Verochi.

The Boys lacrosse team, after a great win in the last regular season game against longtime rival Dover-Sherborn, were seeded at a high 8th seed. The Witches battled hard scoring first, but the 15-4 Panthers shook it off and rolled on to an 11-3 victory.

The Panthers now will play the winner of the Plymouth south/ Mansfield game hoping to avenge their two regular season losses to a fierce Hockomock opponent Mansfield. The Franklin boys lacrosse’s next game will be help at beaver street field Saturday at 2 PM.
