American Horror Story Season 6

Maegan McDermott, Writer

American Horror Story came to FX on October 5th, 2011 on Wednesday nights at 10pm with its first season known as Murder House. As years went by AHS became a very popular series with each season being different from the rest but similar in some way.

The most current season was announced in mid July. Every season’s theme gets announced a few months before it comes out but season 6 was different from other seasons. The theme was not announced, instead multiple teasers were put out, each extremely different from the next.

There were numerous rumors about the theme but no one could seem to figure it out. This season turned out to be called Roanoke which is based on the true events of a Roanoke colony that disappeared with no evidence found, not even skeletons.

At first Roanoke didn’t seem like it was going to be any good but as the season went on it got intense and at times very scary.

Lisa McDermott, someone who has watched AHS for the past three recent seasons, says she loves the new season.

“It was very interesting but at first but was a little disturbing,” she said. “Even the theme surprised me too, but I find it very entertaining.”

Roanoke seems to surprise viewers every episode by always having an unexpected twist and a taunting cliff hanger, leaving you to find out more.
