If you have a passion for writing, feel free to stop by at writing club from 2:15-3:00 pm on Tuesdays in room 326.

The presidents of writing club are senior Kelly Fitzgerald and junior Raveena Dookhan, and the club’s advisor is Mr. Piazza.

Previously, there was a literary magazine at FHS called “Mirage” but it merged with the current writing club, therefore the club goes by the name, the Franklin Review.

The club holds writing workshops where people can focus on certain pieces of writing or improving their skills on a piece. They also publish the literary magazine. The club has a webpage here and anyone can submit any of their writing at any time to be edited. Photo and art submissions are also accepted.

Raveena Dookhan, one of the co-presidents, says “It’s a community made to foster all types of writing styles and helps to improve personal writing skills.”

Kelly Fitzgerald, the other co-president, adds that she“think[s] it’s important because in English classes teachers tend to overlook narrative writing assignments.”

Feel free to follow them on Twitter @fhswriting. All are welcome!
