Students were aghast on Friday when the Library was filled with unfamiliar chairs.

After some investigating, this reporter discovered that Mr. Light was fielding bids from multiple chair companies on chairs for the new Franklin High School. In an attempt to select the best seats for the new FHS, Mr. Light is encouraging students to try the chairs out and pick their favorite.

“All of these chairs are better than the one’s we have now, so I hate you underclassmen” said FHS senior Griffin Tighe who was in the library Friday afternoon because he “honestly wanted to check out the chairs.” Tighe would go on to admit that he is “jealous” of the new furniture, especially the desks which he described as “huge”.

When asked what makes a good chair, FHS junior Nick Hare answered “tall enough that I can see, and comfortable so I can relax. But I have to be able to lean back a little, because everyone does that.”

Mr. Light revealed that on Monday students will have the opportunity to voice their opinion on which chairs they like using a survey that can be found in the library. Student input will impact which chairs will be in the new FHS, so remember to stop by the library and voice your opinion!
