Pantherbook Profile: Mr. Barron

This week, Mr. Barron is our Teacher of the Week.

1. Full Name/Nickname: Trevor Barron. My nickname is McGyver.

2. If  I were not at my job right now I’d probably be: Playing with my dogs.

3. Something most people would be surprised to know about me is: I do not have a high school diploma.

4. My biggest fear: The unknown

5. One day I plan to: Build something like a UAV (drone), or a rocket.

6. The best/worst thing about my job is: The best part about my job is when a student says, “I got it!”. The worst part about my job is when a class ends and you’re not ready for it to end. I wish there was a long time block so we can be able to dig deeper, and not be interrupted by the bell.

7. Favorite season? Late summer.

8. What school did you go to? For my undergraduate, i went to the University of Rhode Island. For my graduate i went to the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Currently, I am doing more graduate work in the area of education.

9. Favorite movie/TV show? My favorite movie is Longest Day, and my favorite TV show is, Major Crimes.

10. If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Time travel.

11. 5 ways to use a pencil: I can use it for cleaning electrical contacts, as a straight edge, to stir a drink, to start a fire, and to erase with it.

12. Favorite childhood memory was: Learning how to read.

13. The last book I read: Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot by Bruce and Andrea Leininger with Ken Gross

14. The last concert I attended: Hootie & the Blowfish, at Hampton Beach.

15. Funniest thing to happen to me at work was: I have such a hard time saying denominator. Most of the time, when i say it, it does not come out right. It has happened a lot while teaching.
