Are you interested in expanding your art talents, or improving your portfolio? Ms. Hogan, director of the summer art institute is running a 2-week-long art program from July 6th to the 17th at Franklin High School.

Ms. Hogan is offering many different opportunities including Digital Photography, Drawing and Painting, Printmaking and Bookmaking, Sculpture, Portfolio Prep/Open studio, and Introductory lessons.

Registration varies between $130 – $195 and the classes run from 9 AM to Noon. There are different classes for different grade levels and they’re available to view at the Summer Art Institute web site.

Franklin High School student and art enthusiast, Jennifer Sheehan, says: “Art is one of my passions and I think it is great that the school is offering us this.” She also mentions: “Many of my friends are taking interest in what this program has to offer, as well.” Alyssa Rutkowski also adds that many of her friends this year are interested as well.

The school has many summer programs to offer and it is definitely worth checking out if you ever run out of plans this summer, or are simply looking for something to do.
