“W.E.B” Club: Learn about the power of economics and business

Women’s Economics and Business Club (WEB)

Who are we and what is our goal?

We want to encourage young women in high school to take interest in the fields of economics, finance, and business and nourish interests towards potential careers in these fields. We will learn about the production, the consumption, and the transfer of money and wealth. Plus, how to start up a business and get business ideas off the ground!

This club is a positive contribution to our school’s merit and expands the range of extracurricular activities.

Be a part of our club! No other student led group focuses on economics, business, and related fields, and here, students will get the opportunity to get more experience and be better prepared for related subjects in school, college, and their everyday lives. Also, they will get an idea of what job line they would like to pursue in the future, so that girls can level the gap in male-dominated fields.

What will we be doing?

We plan to invite local business or finance people as speakers to talk about their experiences and opinions. Plus, we will get an inside look into AP Economy.

Who should join?

Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to join, young women especially!

When do we meet?

Starting November 9th, we will meet alternating weeks on Monday after school from 2:15 to 3. Meeting room TBD.
