The Shopping Spree of the Year

Megan Torrey, Editor

If you’re looking for something to do the day after Thanksgiving, make sure to participate in Black Friday this year. With over 100 million consumers expected to shop this Friday and over 150 million to shop over the course of this weekend, be sure to know what time your favorite store opens!

There may have been a decrease in the number of people that visit stores on Black Friday because of the increasing retailing hours, but also because many people prefer to shop online to avoid the crowds.

I love to online shop around the holidays,” Junior Anna Balkus says. “It’s really easy and convenient for me because I have enough time to do other things while also not having to go out anywhere.”

With the winter holiday season just around the corner, knowing when local stores and shopping malls open will help you successfully find the perfect gifts for your family and friends. With deals at Walmart offering a $300 gift card for people that purchase and activate the iPhone X, XS, or XR in their stores to $80 an ipad at Target, you will most definitely want to purchase the new phone that you’ve wanted for quite some time now.

Looking for retail hours of your favorite shopping spots? Here are some times for places you may be looking to shop at this Friday:

Target, Milford MA: 7am – 11pm

Wrentham Outlets: 12am – 10pm

Natick Mall: 6am – 10pm

Emerald Square Mall, North Attleborough, MA: 12:30am – 10pm

If you miss Black Friday shopping, you can always participate in Cyber Monday on November 26, 2018 and see some of the best deals of the year!
