STEM Club: Everything You Need To Know

Suhas Wijegoonasekara, Writer

Are you interested in STEM? Look no further than the STEM Research Club, a new club available at Franklin High School (FHS)! This club focuses on creating research projects on any topic of your choice. Even though we are almost halfway done with quarter 3, it is never too late to join!

FHS Junior Aishwarya Prakki, said that throughout the year, the club will have guest speakers and go on field trips. One of the field trips is visiting the lab at Dean College. If you are motivated and interested in the fields of STEM even a little, this club is for you.

As stated by Prakki, the project of your choice could be anything. It could be from a paper to an experiment. The project should showcase what you have accomplished during the club.

The club will meet every other Wednesday at 2:15 pm in room 347. The next meeting will be on March 23. There is a Google Classroom page you can join with the code 54rgkzq.

Prakki was a research assistant during her sophomore year and thought that it would be a cool opportunity for students at FHS noting that there weren’t many other chances given to students.

Anyone is welcome to join at any time! Aishwarya and others are willing to help you with your project.
