FHS Cabaret!!

Rachita Chaudhury

Get ready folks for a spectacular performance of song, dance, and most importantly, humor by our very own Franklin High students! Cabaret will be 7pm-9pm on both Tuesday the 18th and Thursday the 20th. Tickets will be $5 for students and $10 for adults.

What is cabaret all about? Well there’s going to be ridiculously fun dancing, hilarious skits, and “hugely talented people singing wonderful musical numbers” as Austen Shumway described.

All the theater classes have been practicing every day for this. In the theater 3 class there are strong leaders such as Sarah Addi and Meghan Kinney who will be in multiple acts including the opening act.

Theater 2 consists of a great group of performers as well. Theater 1 has a lot of talent including Austen Shumway, Tatyana Youssef, Mary Campbell, Kristen Brandenburg, and Sam Shea. These individuals choreographed a dance to “Edge of Glory” which will be sung by Austen.

Ms. Waters, the theater and drama club teacher, has these kids well prepared to put on an outstanding show.

Be sure to bring some extra money to support FHS clubs that will be collecting donations at each show, such as Gay Straight Alliance.

See you there!
