Boston’s First Night 2012

Boston is a place where we all want to go to on the weekends. From concerts, to shopping, to eating, and seeing; there is so much to do and see in so little time! Now that the holidays are quickly approaching, it’s crucial to go to Boston and get into the holiday spirit.

Speaking of holidays, looking for something fun to do on New Year’s Eve? Ship up to Boston for “Boston’s First Night 2012”! It annually showcases the work of 1,000 artists in 200 performances and exhibits at 35 indoor and outdoor venues located throughout the downtown area on New Year’s Eve. It runs from 1 pm to midnight on December 31st 2011. It is the oldest and largest of its kind in North America, typically attracting about one million people from throughout the region.As far as activities there will be a wide range of music, dance, theater, visual art, and film programs offered.  Did I mention there will be enormous ice sculptures on display throughout Boston AND a spectacular fireworks display at midnight? You can view the show from a boat on Boston harbor! They are also recruiting 400 volunteers to help make the night a success.

In order to be entitled for general admission, you must buy a “First Night Button”, which are 15 dollars each!

So grab your friends, catch a train, and have a memorable New Years for the epic year of 2012!!
