E! News host, Giuliana Rancic, has recently announced she will be undergoing a double mastectomy in an effort to fight breast cancer. Rancic announced she had breast cancer earlier this year and that she will be getting a double lumpectomy. Unfortunately this procedure failed and instead of going through the process one more time with a low chance of success, Giuliana and husband, Bill Rancic, decided to go with he mastectomy.

Giuliana, who has high hopes of becoming a mother one day, said to LA Times, “But to be honest, at the end it came down to choosing to live and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life.” There has been a lot of rumors floating round that the In Vitro Fertilization treatment she was going through in order to get pregnant may have cause her cancer.

As a fan of Giuliana and E! News in general, seeing her personal struggle on TV is very inspiring. She is a role model to me and is proving that you should never give up not matter what types of obstacles you face in life. I hope she recovers quickly and gets back to providing the world with top celebrity coverage.
