The Wizarding World is Back!

Harry Potter lovers are gearing up for the new trilogy of J.K Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Rowling is currently writing three films based off of this 54-page book that was written 13 years ago.

Freshman, Morgan Soderlund says “I would definitely go see it. The Harry Potter universe is fascinating and I loved the book”

Viewers will be following “magizoologist”,Newt Scamander, whose story takes place in New York,  seven decades before Harry Potter’s time. Rowling is working with the CEO of Warner Bros, Kevin Tsujihara to get this anticipated film on the big screen and then way fans hope for it to look. Rowling admits that Tsujihara is the one responsible for these movies to come out; he got her back to working on Potter’s world.

“When I say he made Fantastic Beasts happen, it isn’t P.R.-speak but the literal truth,” she says. “We had one dinner, a follow-up telephone call, and then I got out the rough draft that I’d thought was going to be an interesting bit of memorabilia for my kids and started rewriting!”

The casting has been kept quiet, but sources say that the star who played Hermione Granger in all of the Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson, may appear in one movie of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Watson even says to MTV News: “I would definitely be up for a cameo!”

Rowling would love to also have Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint to appear in her films, but wearing heavy makeup so they don’t look like Potter and Ronald Weasley.

Freshman, Ffion Titmuss says “Yes, I will definitely go see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Rowling is a very talented writer, so it has to be a great film.”

So get ready for the wizarding world that all of us love to come back to the big screen!
