Coachella 2014

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival is a three-day music festival occurring through the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year the event took place on April 11-13, and again this coming weekend, April 18-20.

General admission for the festival this year is $349, and to camp it costs $85. The price is definitely worth it. The lineup for Coachella always includes a wide variety of genres, and there are multiple stages that the artists perform on. This year’s performances include Outkast, Ellie GouldingKid Cudi, Grouplove, and many more.

“I wish I could’ve gone, but luckily I’m going to Firefly Music Festival and a lot of similar artists will be there” Nikki McCusker commented. “Coachella sounds like an awesome experience.”

The festival includes activities, amenities, shops, and places to eat and drink. The most well known activities is the Ferris Wheel. The views on the ferris wheel are unbelievable, and it is a different way to view the festival.

People from all over dream of going to Coachella for many reasons including the fact that so many famous people attend. This year Kendall JennerKylie JennerSelena GomezVanessa HudgensKaty PerryLeonardo DiCaprio, and many others were in attendance.

“If it wasn’t so expensive I definitely would have tried to go, but as a senior in high school I have to save most of my money for college.” Julia DiMarino added. “It would  have been awesome to see all of those famous people there.”
