This Friday at 7:30 pm, the FHS Theatre Company will be presenting “Six Rounds of Vengeance” in the auditorium. The second performance of this play will occur Saturday at 5:30 pm at Norwood High School as a part of the METG drama festival. Sponsored by the Massachusetts Education Theatre Guild, the METG drama festival offers schools the opportunity to share their performances in a festival style. This Saturday, FHS students will compete in the preliminary round of the 2020 festival.

Six Rounds of Vengeance will feature an impressive range of costumes and sets, some of which are student-designed

“Six Rounds of Vengeance” follows the story of a young fighter, Jess December, and her attempt to avenge the murder of her sister with a samurai cowboy. The pair faces a group of monsters throughout the story to help them obtain gunpowder and steel as part of their revenge plot.

The talented cast of FHS students has been working hard on this production after school for the past few months. Among the cast/crew are graduating seniors Brynn Jacobs, Emma Leonard, Declan Fields, Chloe Selznick, Andrew Falanga, Elena Perez-Kocis, Paul Stanley, Cutler Whitmore, Jack Finn, Lyndon Gruner, Nikki Kim, Molly Cooper, and Michele Orleans, all of whom will be taking part in one of their last FHS theatre productions.

This play has been deemed suitable for audiences 15 and up due to the mature themes and language. It also features strobe lights, gunshots, and loud sound effects.

Tickets can be purchased online through this link: https://www.onthestage.com/show/franklin-high-school-theatre-company/six-rounds-of-vengeance-30787/tickets, and will also be sold at the door for $7 for students and $12 for adults.
