Franklin feels the Bern

Sunday, January 10th, was the first meeting of the newly formed Bernie Sanders volunteer group in Franklin.

You may have received a phone call last week detailing a group meeting at the library in support of 2016 democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Team captain of Franklin Volunteers for Bernie, Bruce Kaiden, set up the group to volunteer on behalf of Sanders’ campaign by canvassing in New Hampshire and setting up a phone bank for the Franklin area.

“We basically just learned how the call centers worked and how a grassroots movement starts – with individuals coming together all over promoting their candidate.” says Franklin High junior, Julia Hogan, who attended the first meeting.
