Franklin’s brand new, The Shed, restaurant has opened its doors and is making a splash in the Franklin community. After only being open for about a month, locals are raving about their fantastic experiences at The Shed. 

Located in the Big Y plaza, across from Starbucks, The Shed opened on February 24, 2023. According to owner Mike Barker, “This has been in the works a long time, and with so many delays due to COVID, it’s a relief to be open and the response from the community has been fantastic.”

Franklin High School students, like 9th grader, Peyton Dwyer, are raving about the food. 

“It was great! I had an amazing time! The restaurant was so cute, the server was great, and there were gluten-free options,” she said, “I got chicken fingers and french fries, and the french fries were so very fire, so very good,” she added. “My chicken was also good, it was nice and crunchy. But it wasn’t my favorite chicken I’ve ever had.” 

“I tried the ‘Shed Burger’ and it was better than I could have ever imagined. The french fries were a standout of the meal.”

Want some recommendations on what to get? Owner Mike Barker says, “I have a hard time coming up with one favorite since the kitchen does

 such a great job. They basically prepare everything from scratch including the sauces, dressings, desserts, etc. If I had to make the choice I would go with the bison tips and the bread pudding dessert.”

The menu featured a wide variety of options for the whole family, such as appetizers, burgers, salads, seafood, a kid’s menu, and many desserts. The prices were also very reasonable for such exceptional food. 

Overall, I would give this restaurant a 9/10. I had a great time, and I think it would be an amazing place to grab dinner with your friends and family. The food was superb, and the service was so friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning again in the future.

The Shed is open on Monday: 4pm – 10pm Tuesday: Closed, Wednesday: 4pm – 10pm, Thursday: 4pm – 11pm, Friday: 12pm – 11pm, Saturday: 12pm – 11pm, Sunday: 12pm – 10pm.
