American Troops to Come Home

President Obama says that America ’s war in Iraq will be over. As of Friday he stated that the troops will be home by the Holidays. As of right now there are about 39000 thousand U.S troops in Iraq .

Obama spoke to Iraqi President, Nuri al-Maliki in a video conference, both nations said they were comfortable with the decision to end the war. President Obama says that our partnership with Iraq will be “strong and enduring.”

When the announcement went out many democrats were very happy about it while many republicans disagreed with the Presidents decision. Senator John McCain said that it was “consequential failure” for the Obama administration. As a result this is a very good thing for thousands of families having there loved ones come home and actually be able to stay.
