Former Boston Bruins player, head coach and current Versus TV analyst Mike Milbury has been accused of assaulting a 12 year old youth hockey player.
The incident occurred on December 9th in a game between his sons team the Boch Blazers and the Boston Jr. Blackhawks, when Milbury’s son and an opposing team’s player got into a fight, Milbury supposedly ran onto the ice and verbally abused the player then shook him.
Milbury will be charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a child and threats to commit a crime. Neither Milbury nor his attorney have commented on the subject.
Milbury played for the Bruins for 12 seasons 1974-1987 and head coach from 1988-1990.
