Bruins earn 1-point in OT Loss

The Boston Bruins faced-off against the 1st place Washington Capitals last night. The Bruins are still fighting for a playoff spot as the race in the eastern conference gets closer. The Bruins were only able to muster up one point in last night’s game, losing in overtime by Capitals Brook Laich power-play goal.

The B’s who stand in 7th place in the Eastern Conference are one point ahead of the 8th place Flyers and two points ahead of the 9th place Rangers, are fighting for a play-off spot. The Bruins have only three games remaining in the season, in which they have to play the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Washington Capitals. “That was a good point. That was a good effort to get a point, but when you have an effort like that, you always hope to get a deuce out of it,” said Denis Wideman.

The B’s were hoping to get two points but they will take the one point they got last night. The Bruins hope to get two points this Thursday when the Buffalo Sabres come into town.
