Shot for Seguin

This Wednesday the Bruins received positive news about David Krejci who stopped practicing on Tuesday after an unknown injury occurred. He did not travel with the team to play the Caroline Hurricane’s on Wednesday Night, however it was discovered that the injury to his midsection puts him on day-to-day play possibility.

Although this isn’t the best news, there is still a possibility that he will be recovered enough to play in Saturday’s game against Chicago, says Coach Claude Julien. It also means that his suspected knee injury can be ruled out completely, which is beneficial because that would have taken much more time to recover from.

In the meantime, Tyler Seguin will take his place as center, while Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton skate on the third line for the time being. “It’ll be [Seguin] to start off anyway … see how he does. We knew that down the road we’d need him to step up [at center]”, says Coach Julien about the new temporary center. While everyone hopes for the speedy recovery of Krejci, hopes are even higher still for a fabulous performance from Sequin that is sure to be seen in the upcoming games.
