A Franklin High School Success Story

Chris Arnaudo demolishes opponent.
December 16, 2013
A select few Franklin athletes have been fortunate enough to have skated across the hallowed ice of “The Vet”, the infamous hockey rink of the Franklin Panthers. Franklin prides itself on the success of its hockey team and one Franklin High School student has dreamed of being a part of that success story for what felt to him like an eternity. This young man is Chris Arnaudo. Chris has been compared to the likes of Kevin Millar for being a true locker room hero and a valued teammate. After making the Junior Varsity squad last year he and his fellow peers were immensely happy for him, but today we are overjoyed as Chris Arnaudo has become a member of the Franklin High School varsity hockey squad.

Tryouts this year for Chris were described as “challenging” and he expressed his faint doubts that he would not make the team and was prepared to be cut. However what Chris may lack in skill he compensates with heart and positive attitude and he persevered through the grueling tryouts, and made it onto the varsity roster. “When I heard my name get called it almost felt like it wasn’t real”.
Chris made a huge name for himself in FHS athletics after he returned to the football team earlier this year. Known for his locker room antics and improvised speeches that may or may not have been stolen from the Disney classic “Miracle”, Chris “Arnie” Arnaudo could put a smile on any player or coach’s face. Although he may not have set foot on the field on game day, everyone would agree that the team would not have been complete without him.

Now moving onto the next and possibly final step of his Franklin High School sports career, Arnie is ready to be a practice squad warrior, and a locker room commander for the Franklin hockey team.
