Led by Coach Cropper and Senior Captains, Maddie Gendreau, Mackenzie Pleshaw, Abby Egan and Taylor Reutlinger, the Franklin High School (FHS) Varsity Field Hockey Team has had quite the season so far.

The girls practice every Monday-Friday and Sunday for two hours each day. Hard work pays off! With the team’s 9th win against Foxboro, they have now qualified for postseason.

“Being a senior is the hardest knowing it is my last year playing with these girls that I have come to know as my sisters,” says one of the team captains, Maddie Gendreau.

A total of 23 girls plus the three swingers, they have managed to hold a car wash and raised about $15,000 as a team. They are also planning on tagging within the next couple of places.

If you wanna help out they will be located at Noodles & Co., Starbucks, Shaws etc. Every penny counts! All the money the girls raise goes towards shirts, team events, new balls and cages.

We have each other’s backs on and off the field. We’re more than a team, we’re a family,” said goalie Sam Jones.
