Franklin High School is known for its athletics, but one athlete, in particular, stands out in the crowd: Senior Tyler Brogan.

Brogan broke three school records over his past four years at FHS. He now holds the record for the mile, 5k, and 1000 meters.

“This shows versatility across multiple distances, it shows that I could be good at long distance and short distance,” says Brogan about his school records.

According to Athletic.net, Brogan’s personal record (PR) for the mile is 4:17.01 and his 5k PR is 15:36. He also won the Tommy Cochary High School Falmouth Road Race, with a mile time of 4:21.62

These amazing times are the reason that Brogan has committed to Northeastern University.

Throughout his career, he has been very lucky when it comes to injuries. Except for last year, he collapsed his lung at the end of winter track. This injury took him out of the New England meet and the national meet.

Despite this setback, he came into the cross country season better than ever. Beating his personal record at the Bobby McIntyre Twilight Invitational and coming in first at the MIAA Eastern Mass Divisional Championships. On top of all that, Brogan placed second in the Hockomock League.
