After an amazing season with 25 wins and 1 loss, Franklin Boys Basketball unfortunately saw their championship dreams fall short when they lost to an undefeated North High on Sunday, March 17. With a final score of 53-59, the Panthers fought extremely hard and battled to the last buzzer. Franklin showed confidence and composure out of the gate and ended the first half leading by 7. Unfortunately, North High was able to contain the Franklin offense in the second half and slow the scoring. Tied at the end of the third quarter, 45-45, the Panthers were unable to take the lead again. With a minute left, the Panthers got a much-needed three points from Caden Sullivan and two points from Sean O’Leary. While the defeat was devastating, the team had an unbelievable season and showed resilience during the hardest game of the season. Junior Caden Sullivan was the leading scorer of the game, putting up 24 points. Although this season has come to an end, the community and future of Franklin Boys Basketball is bright and just as strong as before. What a game, what a season, what a team!!
