National Art Honor Society held FHS’s first ever Paint Night Friday, December 7th from 6:00-8:00pm.  Students were invited to follow an instructor paint an easy-to-follow picture and enjoy some food while they painted.  Students painted a nature scene with a sunset, hills, and some happy trees.

Students had a very fun time painting and hanging out with their friends.  The room was filled with energy and laughter the entire time.  Jordan Ellis, a senior and officer of NAHS, said she “felt like a mini Bob Ross.  [Paint Night] was a lowkey environment because you were given a base to go off of.”  Lauren Melville, a junior and member of NAHS, said she “would definitely come again.  It was super fun and a great way to bond with the society.”

Paint Night was open to more than just NAHS members though.  Many students outside the society came as well.  Senior Bea Bondhus said Paint Night “makes me regret that I never took an art class in high school.”  Paul Stanley said he “would absolutely do it again.”

It seems that Paint Night was a major success, and we can only hope there will be more in the future!
