Class Elections 2013!

Are you interested in running for a position as a Class Officer or a member of Student Government? Good news, elections are being held Thursday and Friday, May 23rd and 24th.

All students interested in running must

  • Be in good academic and social standing
  • Have attended the meeting in D211 on Thursday, May 9th
  • Turn in a nomination form to A or B house by 2pm Monday, May 20th
  • Students running for a Class Officer position must have a written speech (approved by Mr. Leighton or Mr. Penza) and be prepared to deliver the speech Wednesday, May 22nd*
  • Those running for Student Government postions are encouraged to submit a letter to the student body that will be displayed on Pantherbook (sent to [email protected]) by Monday, May 20th

*Each candidate must provide a written speech that expressed his or her reasons for seeking office. It should also include what he/she hopes to accomplish if elected. This speech is limited to one sheet of paper. This speech (with your name on it) must be turned in with the nomination form. This is the speech you will deliver to the class, no changes.

Nomination forms can be picked up in D211 and require signatures from 20 members of your class, your class advisor and assistant principal.
