Is Prom For The Boys?

Prom for Franklin High School juniors is coming in close but is the dance really aimed towards both the boys and the girls?

The idea of a perfect prom is what makes it so stressful for us non perfect students.

Pre prom duties that are expected include the infamous prom proposal, picking out a tux, organizing transportation and trying to keep all your friends together throughout the lengthy process.

When I asked Senior Matt Zajac about his prom night he had to say this.  ” It’s all or nothing, you will remember that night for one reason or another”.

Senior Nick Zucco ran into some different trouble for last years however. Nick asked a senior girl who were good friends with one another. The issue arose days before prom though when Nicks date began to date another senior boy who was also asked to the prom from a different junior girl making prom “just a little awkward”.

Some of the younger views on prom though are interesting. When I asked sophomore Joe Corsi about if he is excited for prom he said ” yeah it’s pretty cool being a younger kid and going, I don’t have to really deal with anything this year which makes it a whole lot better” .

“It’s all about the after party anyways” says  Zucco.

So is prom actually for the boys at all or is really just girls trying to relive their favorite Disney movie?
