Peer Leader Information

If you are looking for an extracurricular activity to join next year then Peer Leaders may be the club for you. Peer Leaders is a great club for students to help run different events and fundraisers throughout the year.

This year Peer Leaders is accepting 12- 15 new members for the upcoming school year. Each existing member of the club will read through every students submission, which consists of a number of questions you can pick up from Ms. Hess’ room.

Freshman Nadia Havens  talked in an interview on why she wanted to join Peer Leaders.

“I wanted to make a difference in our school, and in our community. It is a chance for me to make a change, and if I can help in any way then that is what I intend to do,” she said.

The questions/submissions are supposed to be typed with your student ID number on it. They are due by Wednesday, May 7th.  The student ID numbers are used to keep your submission anonymous, so each person applying gets a fair chance.

If a submission is chosen, Ms. Hess will send out an email over itslearning to set a date for you to be interviewed. Once interviewed the Peer Leaders will make a final decision on new members.

Peer Leaders is looking for responsible members who are substance free, and will be committed to the club. Every other Monday after school Peer Leaders meet and discuss/run different events throughout the school year.

If you know that you will not be able to attend every Monday it is strongly suggested by Peer Leaders not to apply. It is not fair to other people who would be fully committed to the club, and did not get the chance to be a part of the club.

All in all Peer leaders does a lot of work for younger kids across Franklin, and other things for our community. If you want to lend a helping hand, then apply now before its to late!
