Week in Review – March 14-18

The weekend before Monday the 14th marked an important date for the Girls Track 4×400 team as they set a PR at the New Balance national meet.new balance

 

On Wednesday, the peer leaders and other invited guests met at Dean college for the annual Peace Takes Practice Conference.

The FAA took a field trip to the Worcester Art Museum on Thursday, and after school the Teenage Republicans and Young Democrats met in the lecture hall for a debate on tax policy moderated by Mr. O’Connor.

Friday was “March Madness”  for Franklin Friday, and the seniors won with 126 participants grade wide. Also, peer mentoring applications were due to Ms. Hess and Ms. Cerce on Friday.

Friday night was Senior Banquet, which was held at Lake Pearl.

This Saturday, FHS Science Olympiad is going to the Massachusetts state Olympiad.

On Sunday, the Boys Hockey team will play St. Mary’s Lynn for the D1 Championship at the TD Garden in Boston. The game starts at 5:45 and the fan bus leaves at 4.

Finally, all this week, the class of 2018 held a fundraiser collecting food for the Franklin Food Pantry, and awarding some donors with coupons to Elizabeth’s Bagels.
