National Champs, Soph Dance and Much More…Week in Review

With spring sports starting, prom less than a month away, and classes starting their spring fundraisers, FHS had a very busy week.
This weekend, the FHS Cheerleaders won the Return cheer and Dance Championship in Lincroft, NJ.
On Tuesday, the poll for the class of ‘17 prom song was put up on twitter. Vote here. Along the same lines, juniors: check your email for important information regarding prom tickets and prom contracts.
Wednesday was a half day, and the schoolwide Cradles to Crayons schools supplies collection started today. Bring unopened school supplies to donate!
On Thursday, FHS Girls’ Lacrosse played their first game of the spring season against Needham. Unfortunately, they lost with a score of 15 to 14.
Have you heard of the FHS Goes Global club? On Thursday they hosted their first PantherTalks, where students prepared speeches and delivered them at the club, in a similar fashion as TedTalks. If you missed it, a video of the event will be posted on Pantherbook soon.
On Friday, the FHS math team made history by advancing to the state championships for the first time ever.
Both the boy’s and girl’s lacrosse teams played Canton also on Friday, with the boys beating them 13 to 3, and girls winning with a score of 16 to 2.
Also, sophomore banquet was held in the cafeteria on Friday night.
Music Production Club members: keep in mind this weekend that club t-shirt design ideas are due on Monday.
