Need to know what’s happening this month? Here’s everything going on at FHS this October.

 

Monday, October 2: Club Fair Representative Meeting

At least one representative from each club must attend at least one of the Club Fair information meetings, one before school at 7:15am or one after school at 2:05pm in room 226.

 

Thursday, October 4: Curriculum Night

Curriculum Night takes place 6:30-8:30pm.  Parents and guardians are invited to follow their student(s) schedule and meet each of their teachers while seeing the building.

 

Monday, October 8: No School

Columbus Day

 

Wednesday, October 10: Financial Aid Information Night for Seniors Families

This event takes place at 6:30pm in the FHS Auditorium.  This informational night is offered through MEFA, an “organization who makes loans to help families cover educational expenses.”  John Marcus, an experienced MEFA representative, will provide an overview of the college financing process.  More information about MEFA can be found here.

 

Thursday, October 11: Club Fair

The Club Fair will take place during F period, lunch period.  Information can be found about the Club Fair here.

 

Friday, October 12

Peer Mentoring will take place during A period.

Seniors, October 12th is the last day to submit your yearbook photo and baby photo.  Click here for information regarding how to submit.

 

Saturday, October 13: PSATs (Juniors)

PSAT Reminders: Print your confirmation email, as it is used as your admission ticket.  You must report to FHS no later than 7:30am; doors open shortly after 7:00am.  Bring #2 pencils (wooden!) and a calculator (charged!).  Do not forget your photo ID.  You cannot sit for the test if you do not have some sort of ID (license, permit, school ID).

 

October 15-19: Homecoming Week

Student government is reinventing Homecoming.  Attend FHS games during the week to win prizes.  Click here for more information about the new and exciting Homecoming Week.

 

Saturday, October 20: Homecoming

Homecoming will take place at 7:00pm in the FHS gym.

 

Thursday, October 25 & Friday, October 26: Half Days

Parents teacher conferences will take place Thursday afternoon, Thursday evening, and Friday afternoon.  More information will be coming about how to sign up.

 

Wednesday, October 31: Senior Quotes Due

Seniors, your senior quotes are due.  Click here to submit your quote.

October is sure to be a busy, but exciting, month at FHS.
