Get your poker chips ready, because FHS Student Government recently announced that this year’s Homecoming theme is “Casino Night!” The Homecoming Dance is on October 26th from 7-10 pm in the FHS Gymnasium. The Homecoming Football Game is the night before the dance, on October 25th vs. Taunton at 7 pm located at Pisini Field.

Unlike years past, the FHS Student Government has worked together to come up with new ideas for the Homecoming Football Game that engage students with school activities and promote Panther Pride. Student Government Secretary, Hannah Addi, says that “There are going to be Homecoming floats for ten clubs”.

Additionally, there will be a Homecoming float for each grade, so students that are at the game can support and cheer on their class as their class officers travel around the football field. Students are able to continue showing their school spirit the next day at the Homecoming dance.

Although students won’t be able to gamble or play poker, casino decorations will cover the gymnasium and hallway. “There will be decorations with the different suits of cards,” Addi says. She adds that there will also be a “9-foot roulette archway” where students can go through when entering the dance. Student Government will also be announcing Homecoming King and Queen during the dance.

Homecoming dance tickets are only $8 and can be purchased here.
