Fresh Candidates for the Class of 2014

Today June 7, 2011 the students of the class of 2014 are going to present their choices for Class officers and student government representatives to a vote. The vote will take place on June 8, 2011 during which students will be given the chance to take part in the democratic process on a smaller scale which includes only their grade.

Tom Downing is currently running unopposed.

Rachita Chaudhury, Class of 2014
Vice Presidential Candidate
She has said that she is “ready to listen and work to make class events, fund raisers,and other things better for you.”

Ben Zogby, Class of 2014
Vice Presidential Candidate
“I believe I am fit for this position because I know a lot of people and I would easily be able to propound your ideas at meetings.”

Kim Nguyen, Class of 2014

They are currently running unopposed.

Amanda Farnan, Class of 2014

“I know how to take effective notes during the meetings, will/am able to step up and lead the group if necessary and have I have a naturally outgoing, not afraid to speak my mind personality.”

“School might not be everyone’s favorite place to be, but while we are here I would like to make it enjoyable. If you have new ideas you can always come talk to me and I will surely bring them into the meetings.”

Next year we will be have a re-election for all of these positions as well as we will be looking to fill the other positions of class representatives. We would like to remind our readers that this is not a popularity contest and that the elections will be held on Wednesday June 9, 2011.
