Despite her recent vocal hemorrage causing her to cancel the rest of her U.S. tour, Adele is leading the nominations for the American Music Awards with a total of four nominations for her album “21” as reported by Reuters.

Although this show isn’t until November 20th on ABC, the nominations are causing quite a stir. Surprisingly, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are both head to head with three nominations. It seems that Beyonce was correct: Girls run the world!

For the male crooners, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, and Pitbull will be vying for favorite male artist (even though we know that Justin Bieber will most likely win this, sigh, again). In the band catergory, Maroon 5, OneRepublic and LMFAO are the contenders. Also earning nominations in other catergories is Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Mumford and Sons, and many more.
