Boston Bruins: What Happened?

James MacLean and James MacLean

June 15th was a night all of Boston celebrated. It was the first time since 1972 that the Bruins had won the Stanley Cup and the celebration was on. Parades, parties and clubs were open to all the players as they experienced what it felt like to be a champion.

October 6th opened the Bruins 2011-2012 season against the Flyers. After the pre-game ceremony, the Bruins came to a tough loss against own of their biggest competitions. To lose 6 out of there next 12 games made the fans question what had happened to their Championship team? The team had been unbelieveable in June and now just 4 months later they had already begun to crumble. But that doesn’t mean it’s all over. Bruins may have had to wait 39 years for the new championship but that doesn’t mean that they will have to wait almost 4 more decades for their next. It is only the beginning of the season but with such a rough start and now in 4th place, will they be able to come back on top? While the next game, November 10th against the oilers could bring them up to 3rd place. The Bruins hopefully will come back in strong, but at the moment the fans question what their team can do bring it all back.
