Bruins move up to 6th place

The Boston Bruins pulled off a thriller last night when they faced off against the 3rd place Buffalo Sabres. After being down 1-0 in the 1st period the Bruins were able to score three goals to win the game 3-1. The goals were scored by Miroslav Satan, Denis Wideman, and Mark Recchi. Bruins goalie Tuuka Rask stopped 31 shots, allowing only one goal.

The Bruins who are fighting for a playoff spot, managed to get two points in last night’s game putting them in 6th place with two games left. “Right now, it’s about winning,” said Bruins defenseman Denis Wideman.

The Bruins face off against the Carolina Hurricanes saturday afternoon at 1, who can possible spoil it for the Bruins with a win. The B’ lead the season series 2-1. The Bruins hope to stick with their game plan, and keep up their hard work. With a win this saturday against the Canes, the B’s could seal up a playoff spot.
