Girls Varsity Lacrosse Beats KP!

Last Thursday, April 8th, the Franklin Girls Varsity Lacrosse team beat King Philip for the first time in their 10 years of playing them in the Hockomock League.

Senior Captain Gina Velluti was very enthusiastic about their win and said the team held the lead throughout the game which helped them prevail over KP. Junior Sarah Doherty lead the team with 3 goals and 2 assists. Seniors Christine Hurley and Kelly Vail both scored 2 goals each. Franklin’s Senior Captain and goalie had 7 awesome saves throughout the game!

The final score was 10-6. This win makes Franklin a big contender to win the Hockomock League Championship. Their next match up against King Philip will be on Wednesday, May 5th at King Philip High School and no one should miss this game!
