FHS Soccer- Looking Ahead

The girls’ team has got off to a great season so far with 6 wins and 1 loss. The boys have a record of 2-2-1 and are looking to get a third win against Mansfield.

Prior to the North Attleboro game being cancelled, girls sophomore Julia Bireley acknowledged that “North Attleboro is always a physical team” and that they would need to “play well and posses the ball to win”. Kristi Kirshe and Taylor Cogliano are top scorers and hopefully will lead the team to a win against the 3-3-2 Mansfield Varsity team.

Boys sophomore goalie Jesse d’Entremont strongly stated, “We know every team in our league is strong and that we’re not going to have any easy games, so we just want to go out, play our game, and leave it all on the field”. The team is well balanced with Reed Turgeon, Matt Bascom, Jake Versprille, Zach Scafati, and Connor Donahue each having one goal. Mansfield has a record of 1-2-3 and while that does not look daunting, our boys are sure to execute the same teamwork and power they have displayed this season.
