Boys Cross Country Team Finishes Season

On Tuesday, the Boys Cross County team ran their final race of the season against the Milford Hawks. It was “very emotional” for Senior Captain Andrew Hood, who came in first with a time of 17:07, his second fastest time on that course. “It was a great way to end my high school XC career ,” he says.

Another Senior Captain, Sean Lazzeri was disappointed with his personal preformance yesterday, but is proud of the team and all the hard work they put into this season.

Emerging XC star Devin Strok, a sophomore, came in second with a time of 17:53. “It was his first time under 18:00,” says Captain Andrew Hood, obviously very proud of his fellow teammate. Paul O’Donoghue, a senior, came in third with a time of 17:57.

Both captains are very proud of their team’s season and sad to see their Franklin XC careers come to an end. Their immense dedication and passion will forever be remembered by younger members of the team, and will certainly be carried on into their winter and spring track and field seasons.
