USA Upset!
October 17, 2012
American sports teams have always been known to fight until the end, but in the Ryder Cup the European team had other ideas. On September 28 the United States golf team faced an unexpected upset when they lost to the European team. The cup ended in a tight match between the remaining members on both teams, Steve Stricker for the United States, and Martin Kaymer of the European team. Kaymer was able to to sink a six foot putt to complete the victory. The tournement was held in Medinah, Illinios and ended in the score of Europe with 141/2 and the United States with 131/2. On the start of the final day the US was up 10-6, but because of mistakes made by players like Tiger Woods, the Europeans were able to come back and win the cup.
