Yesterday, March 15th, 2015 the newly established Franklin High School Powerlifting Squad went to a meet at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, Ma and had tremendous success. “These guys are awesome, we walked in there and kicked butt against 130 lifters, they did really well for a newly established club” said Liane Blyn, coach of the powerlifting squad, as they went up against Xaverian, Canton, Saint John’s Prep, Saint John’s Shrewsbury, Brighton, Watertown, and Coyle Cassidy .

The team finished with many competitors in the top 15 competing in 3 events, squat, bench, and deadlift. Matt Boyle and Andrew Parent came in 2nd, Giacalone and Yelle in 3rd, Peters in 5th, Hansome 7th, Hofferty 8th, and Siraco in 11th.
