The team celebrates a point at their game against King Philip Regional High School.

The Franklin High School girls volleyball team is having great success as they approach the end of their season. With 12 wins and only two losses so far, the team currently places 3rd in the Hockomock League and 21st in the state of Mass.

After two home losses in a row vs. Canton and Attleboro, their team felt disappointed and in their heads. They brought it back on Thursday, Oct. 5, at Mansfield when they won after a very close game concluding five sets.

Senior Jenna Simone says that this success comes from the team’s unreal team chemistry. All of the players are so close and comfortable with each other, and this bond really helps on and off the court. Simone also explained how this year, their goals include winning all the rest of their games, staying out of their heads, and working hard at practices.

In addition to Varsity, both the Freshman and JV teams are also experiencing good seasons. All three teams finished their games against rival King Philip Regional High School (KP) on Monday with victories

With four games left and playoffs getting closer, the whole team hopes that people will come and show their support by showing up to their games, especially at Attleboro High School on Oct. 23.
