Ski Club

Students who enjoy skiing, snowboarding, or a combination of both, should look into joining the FHS ski and board club. Members of the ski and board club attend weekly trips to Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, MA every Monday for 6 weeks. Even if you don’t have your own pair of skis or a snowboard, Wachusett has the option for you to rent skis or a snowboard every time you head up with the club. Students can choose to either bring their lunch or buy food in the Lodge. But definitely be sure to enjoy a warm waffle drizzled with chocolate from the Waffle Cabin as well!

Costs for the club vary depending on if you need to rent or not. The lift ticket price for those who do not have a season pass to the mountain is $96. An additional $75 dollars must be paid for bus transportation. Trips will begin on January 3 and there will be trips January 10th, 24th, 31st and February 7th and 14th. Students who own skis or snowboards will be expected to store their equipment in the Landing Room Cafe across the bathrooms in main hall. If interested, pick up an application packet in Mr. Cayford’s room in lower C wing. All applications must be in by November 23rd to insure placement in the club.
