NY Students Suspended For Tebowing?

Two high school students from Riverhead High School in New York were suspended for “Tebowing”. You’re reading it right, they were suspended for “Tebowing”. This incident lead to one day insubordination suspensions of four Riverhead Students.

The students were supposedly told earlier in the week not to repeat any of their actions. But this incident included 40 other of their classmates.

Some of Franklin High School’s own had their own opinions of the suspensions.

Paul Whalen, FHS senior and football player showed disgust.

“I don’t get it, why would this call for suspension,” he went on to say, “it’s just plain ridiculous”

Brandon Shea, also a FHS senior shared a similar view.

“I understand why they did it, they did it out of love and respect for Tebow,” Shea went on to say, “It’s not right that they were suspended.”

The school’s explanation for all this was, “Tebowing was blocking the halls and could potentially cause a riot, because they were growing in number and if the wrong kid gets pushed a brawl could ensue”.
