Help The FHS Cause!

The renovation project seems like it is all set, but if the voters of Franklin do not approve a debt exclusion*, all of the effort will go to waste.

All interested students and adults can attend the first organizational meeting of Citizens for a New Franklin High School at the FHS media center/library at 7 pm this Thursday, January 12.

Go on Facebook and like “Vote Yes for a New Franklin High School Building” and go on Twitter and follow “sayYEStoFHS“. Also, visit voteyesforfhs.org to see information about the project and how to volunteer.

We need students and adults to commit to supporting this cause! Whether you have younger siblings and friends who will benefit from the school or not, there are many advantages to rebuilding it:

-your property value will go up

-the state is granting us about $50 million (an offer that will go away for a long time if the vote doesn’t pass)

-FHS will no longer be on warning status

-students and staff will have the proper tools to learn and teach in the 21st century

FAQs about the project can be found here.

Spread the word to go out and VOTE YES. Franklin deserves a modern and attractive new building.

*a debt exclusion is like an override, meaning it raises property taxes; however, it is not permanent.
