Barbie is the most popular costume this year, after the movie’s huge success.

As the spooky season is coming to a close with Halloween on Tuesday, here are the most popular costumes of this year.

There are always the more common costumes such as cowboys, princesses, witches, cats, pirates, or vampires. Still, many people this year are dressing up with inspiration drawing from various pop culture references.

Spider-Man is consistently a popular idea for trick-or-treaters, and this year is no exception. Especially with upcoming Marvel movies coming out, Spiderman is an easy, reliable option for anyone still unsure of their costume.

As arguably the most famous singer of the year, it is no surprise that many people are dressing up as Taylor Swift. With dozens of “The Eras Tour” outfits or music video looks to choose from, there’s no doubt you will find a costume to your liking.

Next, although it might seem like Wednesday came out a while ago, it was really only released last November, so this is the first opportunity for Halloweengoers to represent their favorite characters from the show. With the spooky vibe of the series, this is a great choice for a costume.

Lastly, to no one’s surprise, the most popular costume of the year is Barbie. From Barbie and Ken’s roller skating or country looks, to Weird Barbie’s recognizable spiky hair, this movie, and all the inspired outfits are fan favorites, and reflected in this year’s costumes.

So, what are you planning to wear this Halloween? Anything on this list? If you still don’t know, consider some of these fun ideas and have fun!
