Only a few weeks after the end of the Franklin High School Theatre Company’s (FHSTC) production of Legally Blonde, the Company is starting a new project. A group of students from the theater community came to a meeting on Dec. 1 for a play being directed by Colin Joyce. Joyce is a beloved senior in the FHSTC and is directing a play called The Rehearsal. Many people from the Theater Company came to the meeting, excited to see friends and to hear about the play.
Many of the people that went to the meeting had been in shows before with the FHSTC. They not only were there for the play, but also to support a member of the community they have grown to love. Though you can’t go back in time and support your classmate by going to the meeting, you can support him by going to the show on Jan. 19 2024. You can also support the FHSTC by going to see Theatre II’s production of Our Town on Jan. 18 2024. There is also a theater competition from the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild (METG) that will be coming up and has a kick off meeting on Monday, Dec. 11 2023.
