Jackie “Jax” Gray was tragically killed in a car accident near her home on July 4, 2016. Her death left a hole in the hearts of her community. Jackie Gray was an Express Dance and Acrobatics dancer, a Quinnipiac ice cat, and most importantly, a role model for all. With the help of a Go Fund Me page, Jackie’s friends and family were able to put a bench dedicated to her in Sleeping Giant State Park. Before the performance, many dancers, friends, and family joined Jackie’s parents on a hike to remember Jax. All of the dance teams at Quinnipiac combined together to create a tribute to their friend. A “Celebration of Life” was held not to mourn Jackie’s death, but to celebrate all she accomplished in her 19 years of life.
