Franklin Panthers field hockey is the team to beat this year.

The girls have started out their season strong, with wins against North Attleboro (3-0), Milford (5-1), and Foxboro (3-0).

In addition to the three wins, Franklin tied Oliver Ames 3-3 last week at Beaver.

“We’re very excited for the rest of season. There are a lot of great teams to compete against.” Senior Captain Dana Lewandowski said.

The Hock league is extremely competitive this year, with an upcoming game against rival Mansfield next week.

“With all the great teams, it will be interesting to see who will win Hock Champs” Caroline Lounsbury, another senior captain, added.

The captains believe they can come out on top, especially with their high amount of skilled underclassmen on the team this season.

With their performances thus far this season, the team has a good chance of success.

Franklin’s upcoming game is 3:30 Wednesday at Mansfield
